The contemporary dance performance “Morning Star” (“Rīta zvaigzne” ) tells the story of Venus – the star that is the first to appear at night and last to set in the morning, and circumnavigates all the cardinal directions in a four-year cycle. The morning star or Auseklis is an ancient symbol of happiness, order, fertility and protection of various peoples.
