Magmanus (Sweden)
“Attached”
On 7 August at 7:30 pm, at the Riga Congress Center, Big Hall
With the support of the Nordic Council of Ministers‘ programme «Culture and Art»
Their vision is to spread happiness and inspire the audience to follow their dreams and the combination of impressive circus skills, humor and the intensive interaction with the audience on stage is a very good toolbox to deliver the message.
The contrast of their physical appearance ‘the tall and the small’ emphasizes the different and complement nature of their personalities. They say it has created a very strong bond between them, so they play with this contrast to express their visions. Their difference turns out to be their best strength.
Attached is a circus show about holding on and letting go:
“Big, ugly and smelly, but really lovely. Has stuck with me everywhere through the years.
I mean the old car pillow my mum gave me – I wasn’t talking about him!”
“Small, with lots of energy and so funny! It’s the greatest connection I have ever had.
I just can’t stop watching YouTube cats! And I meant my internet connection, yes.”
The human domino effect shows how one person’s actions can color another person’s life and how it is sometimes impossible to control. These two artists are hopelessly connected – when one falls, the other flies! Everything and everyone are attached in this circus performance – and there is no escape!
In this brand new experimental indoor show, Magmanus explore new techniques, constructions, and the laws of gravity. ATTACHED is a show that will stick with you – it premiered in April 2013 in Stockholm, Sweden.
