ANIMAL RELIGION (Spain)
“Indomador”

Friday, 8th August at 9:00 pm, at the Riga Congress Center’s New Hall
Tickets available

The Spanish circus performer Quim (Quim Girón)  of Animal Religion is an explorer of balance, sound, percussion, clown, animal movement and astronomy. The show is made to encourage the wild and illogical within the audience, and to try to put a light on the weird routines of modern life. The audience studies the behaviour of the artist, not unlike a visit to the zoo, a tidy context where something savage might be safely glimpsed.

The show is about a person who discovers his animal instinct and transforms the stage into an animalarium.

A story that shows the uncontrollable force and connects us to our deepest animality.

Transgenic bodies, handstand, acrobatics with heels, spoon in the nose, rooster fight, and ritual dances.
