On January 8, 2013 the agreement was signed by the International Street Art & World Music Festival RE RE RIGA! producer Mārtiņš Ķibers, Andris Ameriks, the vice mayor of the Riga City Council, Diāna Čivle, the director of the bureau Riga 2014, and Ainārs Pauniņš, Didzis Putniņš, the directors of construction company RE&RE, about organization of the first in the Baltics international street art and world music festival in 2013 and as well in the year 2014 within the programme Riga – the European Cultural Capital.
This year RE RE RIGA! will be held from August 9th to 11th. The main event of the festival will take place in the heart of the city – on AB dam in the river Daugava. The program also will embrace various locations of the city space – the Old Town, parks, squares, streets and courtyards. The festival’s stage will welcome both local and international artists representing various culture genres – music, dance, poetry, performing arts and new circus including acrobats, jugglers, fire breathers, equilibrists.
On year 2014 RE RE RIGA! is included in the official program of Riga – the European Cultural Capital.
