On August, the 6th, occurred the opening of RE RE RIGA! – the largest contemporary circus and world music event in the Baltic states
The festival’s opening consisted of a performance by music project “TālaMana” from New York at the Large Hall of the Riga Congress Centre as well as the frenetic show ”The Yelling Kitchen Prince” by Bram Graafland at the square next to the Riga Congress Centre.
Mārtiņš Ķibers, the creative director of the festival, gave a speech and called upon the audience to take part in experiencing pleasant surprises and invited each to find their own special event out of the wide program of the festival.
Each day, from 13:00 till 23:00, respondent workers of the RE RE RIGA! info centre and the “Juggling bar” will be waiting for your visit at the square of the festival.
August, the 7th, at 19:30 the forceful guys of “MAGMANUS” will perform their show “Attached”
RE RE RIGA!, in collaboration with Nordic Council of Ministers Culture and Art Programme, presents a show by French-Norwegian duo “MAGMANUS”. The vision of Manu Tiger and Magnus Bjoru – members of the duo – is concentrated on spreading happiness and inspiring the spectators to follow their dreams. The artists are convinced that impressive circus skills, humor and active involvement of the audience in the show are all great means for reaching these goals. This approach has enchanted the duo’s audiences, and this year in Riga “MAGMANUS” will present their new show “Attached”.
