Weaving delicate metaphor with jaw dropping spectacle, Ricochet’s unique style of poetic acrobatics has taken the world by storm.

Tangled up in the coldness of individualism and squeezed into an intellectual present where all is calculations and results, a man and woman realize how bare and dry the modern world is and look for ways to break free. Beyond the mind-numbing routine of capitalism, what can we find ? Smoke and Mirrors search for a better way to live together. With an eager dose of authenticity, the two artists find connection and lay themselves bare before the illusion, using poetic acrobatics to invite us to join their quest for truth. Intense and uncompromising.

RICOCHET is the world’s most recognized contemporary circus troupe from the United States and their performance Smoke and Mirrors has acquired an undivided audience and critics acclaim in Europe, and has even received the prestigious Total Theater Award as the best circus show during the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh in 2015.  Using lyric physicality and virtuosic circus technique, Ricochet draws from rigorous backgrounds in classical and contemporary dance, aerial acrobatics, somatic practices and improvisation to explore the internal landscapes of the human experience.  Currently based  out of Berlin, the New Mexico born circus of two has been hailed “vital to the growth of contemporary circus in America.”
